Kuwait Finance House-Bahrain, one of the leading Islamic banks in the Kingdom of Bahrain, signed a partnership agreement with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF). The partnership entails providing scholarship opportunities for high school graduates to attain a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Management from the University of London.
The signing ceremony was held at BIBF’s headquarters, in the attendance of Mr. Mohammed Fahmi Hamad, Executive Manager - Operations, IT and Corporate Communications at KFH-Bahrain and Dr. Ahmed AlShaikh, Director of the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance, as well as officials from both entities.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Mohammed Fahmi Hamad said: “Our partnership with the BIBF aligns with the Bank’s efforts towards sustainable development and developing the human capital within the banking industry. Through this initiative, we are pleased to be supporting the academic journey of Bahraini students as part of our commitment towards social responsibility and developing local talent. We additionally aim to equip the students with the necessary skills to enter the job market by providing them with practical training and internship opportunities as well as offering them future employment opportunities upon graduation, and enabling them to become future successful leaders.”
Dr. Ahmed AlShaikh, stated: “We are pleased with KFH-Bahrain’s initiative which aims to support our endeavours to develop promising Bahraini youth. The initiative will enable Bahraini youth to gain practical knowledge and the necessary skills required to support the banking and financial services sector which is one of the most vital sectors in Bahrain’s economy.”
Interested applicants can benefit from scholarships provided by contacting the BIBF for the necessary application process. Applicants will undergo a series of evaluations and tests, in addition to passing the admission requirements set by the University of London.
