Kuwait Finance House – Bahrain (KFH-Bahrain) recently held its full day out with Mr. Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat, the Bank’s Managing Director and CEO, where each month 17 selected staff from the Bank’s different departments are given an opportunity to spend a full day out of the office. The meeting been arranged by the Human Resource Department and was held at the ‘Beit Al Quran’ located in Hoora. The initiative, organised by the KFH-Bahrain’s Human Resources Department, continues to prove successful and has contributed highly towards maintaining and strengthening communication bridges between the Managing Director & CEO and the Bank’s employees. Staff had the chance to discuss openly about different issues regarding the Bank in a friendly and relaxing environment; followed by a tour of the centre and its museum. The staff had a lunch together and spent some quality time away from the work routine. The participants discussed a range of topics which included, the Bank’s Strategy, the expectations built on the employees within conditions under their control, the importance of self-assessment, managing self-performance and self-motivation, how the employee is developed within the Bank through organizational skills, preparation and making the most out of opportunities. In addition to encourage the employees to enrol in Academic and Professional programmes. Among others, further additional topics that were addressed were how to enhance the customer experience, the implementation of new technology and discussions of ways to make the Bank’s operations more efficient, not only through improving infrastructure but also through the individual effort of the employees and the targeting new markets with existing products. Participants provided suggestions to enhance the work environment, which will help to increase productivity of the Bank. Mr. Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat emphasised "One of the key assets for any successful organization are its people. The members of the KFH-Bahrain family are constantly being encouraged to be leaders who will contribute, Allah willing, towards taking the Bank forward into a promising future, while emphasising the importance of team work in achieving the Bank’s goals" "Banking is a very complex business and there is nothing better than having a face-to-face meeting between the staff and the management, so they can share their thoughts, future plans and decisions in order to ensure success.” he added.
