Kuwait Finance House (KFH-Bahrain), one of the leading Islamic banks in the Kingdom of Bahrain and a major contributor to the development of the Islamic financial sector in the Kingdom, has announced the launch of the first of its kind Bahrain Talent initiative, entitled "Jewelry Apprenticeship Programme". The launch ceremony was held on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at the Devji Aurum Jewellery Factory, at Bahrain Investment Park, Hidd.
This comes as part of KFH-Bahrain's continual efforts to develop and nurture Bahraini skills and local talent. The bank collaborated with Devji Aurum Jewellery and the National Institute of Design (NID) of India, the 20 participants selected will then be to attend a four-week training course to learn the basic principles of gold jewellery design, the winners will be awarded cash prizes along with the valuable opportunity to work fulltime at the Devji Aurum at the end of the course, as well as the potential to design a special jewellery collection, which will be displayed at the 2019 Jewellery Arabia Exhibition.
"For the first time in the Kingdom of Bahrain, we are delighted to announce the launch of the “Bahrain Talent” program, which is available exclusively and for free to all users of the “Jazeel” application," said Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, KFH-Bahrain.
“This unique initiative comes under the umbrella of KFH-Bahrain's social responsibility initiatives; this community banking program contributes towards the employment sector through job creation and the sustainable development of local talent, a benefit to individual Bahraini’s and the larger community as a whole, we look forward to developing this program across various industries and sectors in the future,” he added

Jazeel’s platform includes several unique features such as community banking services, which includes the Bahrain Talent and other unique internship programme, the first of its kind on a local level given the nature of each activities these involves a series of training courses across various sectors in order to encourage and cultivate local talent by providing them with prospects to develop their creations and individual businesses; the aim of the program is to grow the community at large by investing in the potential of local youth, and developing talent in line with the existing needs of the labour market.
